Tanzania Hub (Arusha)
SOMA’s outreach program in Arusha is a growing expression of spiritual education and community building in Tanzania. Since January 2026, James Otumba, LSP, has traveled regularly to Arusha to offer Science of Mind workshops and leadership training, with all teaching, books, and materials provided in Kiswahili. Through these gatherings, along with books, pamphlets, and its own WhatsApp SOMA Community, a vibrant community is growing with the vision of one day becoming a affiliated Science of Mind Study Group.

Kakamega Hub
The Kakamega Hub is a new Science of Mind youth outreach program connected with Ebenezer, a rural resource center in western Kenya. Through this growing program, SOMA supports James Otumba, LSP, and Christopher Okello, LSP, in offering spiritual education for children, teens, and interested adults. Alongside youth programming, adults are invited to explore Science of Mind teachings such as Seed–Soil–Plant or the Creative Process, with time set aside for conversation, questions, and community connection. Lessons also include anti-bullying, values, and positive conflict resolution.

Regional Pioneers
Kenya
Nanyuki Hub (Mt. Kenya)
The SOMA family continues to grow, with launch of Nanyuki Study Group, which held its first Science of Mind seminar in that Mt Kenya town on July 4, 2026. Nanyuki now joins Kisumu, and Kisii as one of SOMA's growing centres of learning and fellowship, alongside Nairobi, which remains home to our largest community of members and students.
The establishment of the Nanyuki Study Group is particularly significant. Situated at the gateway to the Mt. Kenya region, it opens exciting opportunities to share the Science of Mind message with neighbouring central Kenya counties of Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Meru and Isiolo.
